The City Multi Split Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system provides a sophisticated, yet flexible and energy efficient heating and cooling solution for any sized project. The City Multi is the world's first and only two-pipe system that offers simultaneous heat and cooling via heat recovery. With a wide range of products, such as the new Hyper-Heat Inverter (H2i) system, modular outdoor units, and geothermal-compatible units, it is only natural that the City Multi is a frequent top choice of HVAC industry professionals.

How does the City Multi VRF compare to traditional HVAC Systems?
  • Unlike traditional HVAC systems, VRF systems circulate refrigerant from the condenser unit directly to multiple evaporator units. Traditional systems circulate water (as in a chiller) or air (as in a ducted DX system) to achieve heat transfer to the targeted space . Therefore, VRF systems have no refrigerant-to-water transfer loss as with traditional chillers.
  • VRF compressor suction pressure can be maintained at higher temperatures than traditional HVAC systems, resulting in higher efficiency, making it more environmentally friendly and more cost-effective to operate.

City Multi VRF Benefits
  • Optimized Energy Performance - City Multi systems are extremely flexible, enabling a single condensing unit to be connected to multiple indoor units of varying capacity and configuration. These systems are capable of adapting their capacity and power consumption to meet the actual load, therefore the overall Co-efficient of Performance (COP) and the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) remains very high.
  • Independent Zone Control - Multiple indoor City Multi units can be grouped into different zones and operated independently without affecting other units.
  • Simultaneous Heating and Cooling System for Total Heat Recovery (R2/WR2 Series)- City Multi systems can use heat from one zone in cooling mode and transfer it for use in another zone in heating mode.
  • Environmentally Friendly - The City Multi systems uses R-410A, which is an HFC refrigerant with no ozone depleting properties.
  • Simple Design and Maintenance - Maintenance can be completed with included software programs.
  • Simple & Low-Cost Installation - Due to the unit's unique two-pipe system, small pipe sizes, and a single wire communication network, installation is simple, resulting in less time required and lower costs.
  • Compact Design - A comparably small installation space is required for this unit.

Mr. Slim P-Series is a ductless solution for demanding environments that require an efficient and reliable heating or cooling system. P-Series ductless systems are compact and more aesthetically pleasing than traditional bulky HVAC systems. Advanced technology also means your P-Series ductless system will run more efficiently than a conventional unit, saving you from ever-increasing energy costs. P-Series systems are designed to adapt to your needs. P-Series units are reliable, easy to install, and extremely quiet. However, P-Series systems are still powerful enough for the toughest situations, including offices; server and equipment rooms; restaurants; and retail locations.

Mr. Slim P-Series Features

  • Low Ambient Cooling - Mitsubishi Electric's success is a direct result of their commitment to manufacturing the most reliable Low and Ultra-Low Ambient systems that are specifically designed for the Canadian climate. All P-Series units are capable of operating at -18C. In addition, the cooling-only P-Series units are capable of operating in -40C with the addition of an Ultra-Low Ambient Cooling package. Mitsubishi Electric designs, tests, and manufactures our commercial-grade Mr. Slim P-Series Low Ambient and Ultra-Low Ambient cooling systems to answer the demand for year-long cooling in Canada. This feature makes the unit a perfect choice for rooms that require constant cooling year round, such as computer server rooms.

  • Rotation, Backup, Standby - P-Series is exceptionally reliable and offers an optimum product life cycle with this new built-in function. Two systems work together in an alternating pattern to ensure both systems share the same amount of operating hours. Should the demand exceed the capacity of the operating system, the second system, which is in standby mode, will start to increase the total capacity and return to standby mode when the demand is met. In addition, if an error occurs with the primary operating unit, the secondary system will start automatically as a backup without causing any interruption to service.

  • Variable Speed Compressor Inverter (VSCI) Technology - At the heart of Mr. Slim M-Series ductless air conditioners and heat pumps lies Variable Compressor Speed Inverter (VCSI) technology. Unlike conventional machines that just cycle between "On" and "Off", VCSI systems detect changes in room temperature and readjust the compressor speed to provide high-speed cooling and heating as needed. This means the space maintains a consistent, accurate temperature for the ultimate comfort, while also being energy efficient. With increased efficiency comes increased savings.
  • Hyper-Heat Inverter - Even when outdoor temperatures drop to -25C - levels that would give traditional air-to-air heat pump systems a cold chill - Mr. Slim H2i P-Series heat pumps stay efficiently on the job, keeping the indoors at a comfortable and consistent level. P-Series units featuring the exclusive H2i system are flexible enough for almost any residential, light commercial, institutional renovation, or new construction project. The H2i system delivers high COP in both heating and cooling modes, delivering energy cost savings all year long.

  • i-see Sensor - The Mr. Slim FE model uses the revolutionary i-see Sensor that detects more than just room temperature. The i-see Sensor measures the radiant hot and cool spots in the room and focuses airflow to those specific areas. The intelligent system not only maintains air temperature but also controls air movement and humidity levels to prevent excessive heating and cooling.

Mr. Slim  P-Series Split System

  • The P-Series split ductless system consists of two units, the indoor unit, and the outdoor unit, which are connected by two refrigerant lines running through a small 10 cm opening in the wall or ceiling. The outdoor unit cycles the refrigerant through the lines to and from the indoor unit, where the air is conditioned and then distributed into the open space.
  • The main difference between a Mitsubishi Electric Mr. Slim system and a traditional central system is the absence of air ducts. This is of significance, especially for locations that lack existing ductwork, or the ability to add new ducts.
  • Depending on the series, indoor units come in a variety of styles and can be installed in compact tight spaces on walls, recessed into or suspended from ceilings.
  • In addition, some P-Series units allow two indoor units to operate simultaneously with a single outdoor unit, providing you with all your heating and cooling needs. Temperatures remain consistent throughout the room leaving no corner unreached. Contact us for further information about this P-Series option.
  • Installation is as simple as mounting the indoor and outdoor units, connecting the refrigerant lines, and making a few electrical connections. P-Series Split Systems comes in heat-pump or cooling-only modes.

Zuba- Central System

Zuba-Central is a heat pump which provides heating and cooling to your home through ductwork. It is ranked among the most energy-efficient and cost-effective methods of heat transfer. Designed especially for Canada's environment, Zuba-Central replaces traditional means of heating and cooling with a quiet, compact, high efficiency, ducted system that can save space and significant annual energy costs.  With features like H2i technology, Zuba-Central is capable of heating efficiently down to temperatures of -30C and below.

Zuba-Central Benefits
  • Outstanding Performance - The secret behind Zuba-Central's high-heating performance, even under extremely low outdoor temperatures, is the Hyper-Heat Inverter (H2 i) technology. T he unique defrost mechanism provides an extended period of continuous heating between the defrost time and minimizes the defrost time required, proving yet again that Zuba-Central is one of the most efficient systems on the market.

  • Efficiently Green - The Zuba-Central system uses ozone-friendly R-410A refrigerant which produces no CFCs or HCFCs and has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP). Through the use of the Variable Compressor Speed Inverter (VCSI), the Zuba Central system is able to dynamically adjust heating and cooling capacities to match actual requirements of the home, which means you pay only for the required energy needed.

  • Tiny Footprint - It is so compact that it can be installed anywhere on the premises, without taking up property space. The indoor unit is smaller than a gas furnace and fits right onto the existing ductwork. Everything is efficiently housed in a single unit.

  • Quiet Operation - The advanced technology ensures super-quiet units that work vibration free. The Zuba can operate as low as 52 dB(A), which is about the level of noise produced by a mild rainfall!

How The Zuba Central Heat Pump Works

A heat pump provides two services and employs the same basic principles for both. A system consists of an outdoor unit and an indoor unit, connected by two small refrigerant pipes. Working like an air conditioner on warm days, the pump will extract heat from inside the home and transfer it outdoors. Conversely, on cold days the pump will flow heat energy into the home from the outside. With the evolutionary Hyper-Heat Inverter (H2i) technology, Zuba-Central is a heat pump that can perform well at temperatures as low as -30C. Even in those rare instances when more extreme temperatures hit the air, Zuba-Central can be equipped with auxiliary heaters that operate simultaneously to provide any needed additional heat. Zuba-Central is ideal for homes in all parts of the country, regardless of climate.
